Grant Information

The Serra Foundation was founded in 2002 to support Serra International's work for vocations in the Catholic Church in Canada. The Serra Foundation of Canada pays 10% of the sum of its annual grants to the Serra International Foundation as recognition of the Serra apostolate throughout the world.

Application Procedures and Review Guidelines

A request for a grant must be submitted on the Foundation's application form and to include supporting material and information as deemed appropriate and helpful to the request. Applications are to be sent (using regular mail or e-mail) to the Foundation. A personal discussion or presentation is not necessary.

Awards of grants are usually made once a year for projects that will be funded in the next grant year. Applications received by October 31 will be funded the following January to December year. A condition may be imposed on the grant requesting progress reports.

The Serra Foundation of Canada Board of Directors approves all grants after considering the applications before it and the recommendations of its Grants Review Committee.
